Who is the Teletutor ?

Janet Denison B.G.S.

Janet has over twenty years of teaching and three years of tutoring experience. She has a current teaching certificate, a Bachelor's degree in general studies and a membership in the B.C. College of Teachers.

Janet has successfully tutored a variety of clients. She believes in teaching people, not programs; and provides completely individualized sessions to satisfy her client's needs. A self-developed program enables Janet to tutor in person and by phone.

Janet and her partner, David Jackson, live on a 15-acre farm near Vernon, British Columbia, where they grow organic apples and a variety of vegetables and berries. When not farming, and spending time with their children, they cross-country ski, hike, garden, and participate in local environmental initiatives.

Why use a tutor?

A tutor can assist a client to progress quickly. Sessions with a tutor focus on the client and his or her needs, and provide immediate results.

Clients who have become frustrated with classroom learning, clients who don't have the time to attend classes and clients who need scheduling flexibility can all benefit from one-on-one tutoring.

Why use a teletutor?

The teletutor teaches the teachable moment. When the client requires help the tutor is accessible to them. Learning is enhanced because motivation for learning is at its peak.

The teletutor can also provide convenient, economical, accessible tutoring sessions for clients who have difficulty obtaining other forms of instruction.
